Getting here

A walk down Bungoona Path starts near the environmental education centre, which is 1.5km from the Farnell Avenue entry of the Royal National Park, before the descent to the river:

  • turn into Farnell Avenue from the Princes Highway
  • turn left 250m past the toll booth into the carpark
  • walk to the EEC (demountable green school buildings) following the signs.

Buses can access the carpark to drop off and pick up students.

Bushwalk

The Bungoona Path starts across the carpark from the environmental education centre. The path is level, concrete and wheelchair accessible. It is an easy 0.5 km walk to the lookout; a 1 km return walk.

Most groups will walk a section of Florence Parade to create a 1 km loop walk. Florence Parade is a mostly level fire trail, with some uneven, rocky surfaces.
