24 May 2019
We received a grant from the NSW Department of Education's Local Arts Council for Metropolitan South to develop and implement a new visual arts enrichment program.
Our first stage 2 students, from Community of Schools Between the Rivers, took part in the program on 20 May. They spent the day outdoors on a bushwalk and at the centre, learning from visual arts teachers. They explored the local environment, learned art theory, and produced a range of ephemeral and permanent artworks. They investigated artists including Andy Goldsworthy and John Wolseley to consider form, structure, pattern and texture. View photos from the day in our gallery.
