Getting here
Willow Tree Flat Picnic Area is located approximately 4km from the Farnell Avenue entry of the Royal National Park. There are numerous picnic areas around the Audley area. This information relates to Willow Tree Flat, to the south of Audley Weir, about 1km beyond the National Parks Visitor Centre and the Weir Cafe:
- turn into Farnell Avenue from the Princes Highway
- continue down Farnell Avenue/Audley Road, descending toward the river
- drive across Audley Weir
- after crossing the weir, turn right just after the visitor centre onto Lady Carrington Drive
- follow the road about 1km (do NOT cross the river again) until it ends at a carpark
- park in the carpark and disembark students
- meet your EEC teacher(s) in or adjacent to the picnic shelter

| Bushwalk | Lady Carrington Drive begins at Willow Tree Flat. It is a gentle, level fire trail that follows the Hacking River for 10km. Time permitting, students will go on a return bushwalk on a section of the trail (5km maximum return). |
