An excursion to Shelley Beach begins at Bundeena Reserve. Refer to Jibbon for maps and details for meeting at Bundeena Reserve.

Bushwalk

The walk to Shelley Beach is relatively short but can be a strenuous.

The first 700 m is across a beach. Then the walk takes you about 400 m up and down over the headland.

There is an option to walk further and visit the rock engravings on Jibbon Headland.

Facilities

  • no drinking water (advise students to bring 2 x water bottles, minimum 1.2L per student)

Students access public toilets at Bundeena Reserve before proceeding to Jibbon Beach. Consider if you need to allow time for a toilet break before your return to school.

Students can refill water bottles at Bundeena Reserve.
