Getting here

Schools accessing the park from the south or via Heathcote Road will access Garie Beach via the Waterfall entry to the Royal National Park. Schools from the north may prefer to access via the Farnell Avenue, Loftus entry.

Garie Beach is approximately 12 km (22 minutes) from the Waterfall entry and 21 km (30 minutes) from the Farnell Avenue entry:

  • enter the Royal National Park at McKell Ave (Waterfall) or Farnell Ave (Loftus)
  • turn onto Garie Rd from Sir Bertram Stevens Drive
  • drive until the road ends in a carpark at the picnic area
  • disembark students and assemble at the picnic area

There is bus parking available.
